Horst Schapals

Horst Schapals is a native Mobilian and has lived in West Mobile for the past 46 years. He was born in Germany and immigrated to US in 1955. He is a graduate of South Alabama with a degree in Industrial Engineering. He has been the President of Care Financial since 1990. Horst and his wife, Kathy, share three children and six grandchildren together. His goal is to travel with his wife and spend a month in the mountains of Bavaria.

His future outlook for Care Financial is to remain true to his customers. He is committed to his promise by helping others plan for their financial needs in the future and to make sure their decisions weather all market conditions and achieve long term goals.

His all time hero is Art Williams, Founder of A L Williams, because he taught the most remarkable marketing skills and introduced him to understand that the free enterprise system allows people who come from humble beginnings could live their dreams. Everyone in America has the opportunity to make something special of his or her life.

David Schapals

David Schapals is a native Mobilian – born and raised. He is a graduate of the University of South Alabama, and upon graduation, he decided to join the family business as the Vice President of Care Financial. He and his wife, Julie, have been living on the Eastern Shore since 2005. They have two boys, Cameron and Clark. David likes spending time with his family, and they enjoy playing all sports (football, basketball, and baseball), along with fishing and boating. His family has always had a heart for the water, and they spend a lot of time at Orange Beach during the summer deep-sea fishing and enjoying everything the Gulf Coast has to offer. In fact, he loves the water so much that his bucket list includes boating and island hopping around the Caribbean with his family.

David’s long-term strategy for Care Financial is to continue to grow his business and help others plan for their retirement. He feels that what his company does is so important and that most people aren’t aware of all their retirement options. His team will make sure that their clients’ retirement is planned in a way that they do not have to worry about whether or not they’re going to run out of money, and have the worries of market loss. He also likes being able to show his clients how they can provide a legacy for their loved ones or charities if that’s something they want to do.

Rebekah Hurston

Rebekah is from Mobile. She graduated from Baker High School in 1998 and attended the University of South Alabama. She began working in the family business in 2005. Her current positon is the office manager, she is also a licensed agent.

Rebekah is married to Gail, they have two children, Anna Kathryn and Will.

In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her family, friends, going to the beach, and painting!

Sammy Wells

Sammy Wells is a graduate of Jones Junior College where he studied Architectural and Mechanical Design. He currently lives in Pascagoula, MS with his wife, Betty. Together they have two children and six grandchildren. One day Sammy plans to tour the interior Alaska.

Sammy decided to retire from corporate America after 41 years in senior management. He is passionate about assisting clients with honest advice and service for their retirement plans. He has ten years of financial consulting experience, and is currently an agent with Care Financial in Mobile. His focus is to continue helping people plan a more secure financial future.

Sammy’s hero is Donald Trump. He feels that anyone who gives up a luxurious lifestyle to go through the daily torture and criticism of the media to help save the country from a dire future deserves to be admired.

Darrell Anthony

D. Darrell Anthony, CPA, PFS has been a resident of Midtown Mobile, AL for the past 36 years. He is a graduate of the University of South Alabama with a degree in Accounting. He has been married to Debbie Anthony for 36 years, and they have two children together.

Before coming to Care Financial Darrell was the President of The Anthony Financial Group CPAs, Inc. with focus on small business consulting, financial and estate planning and estate management. His main goal is to provide effective financial and estate planning for clients to realize their plans for future financial security and equitable estate distribution.

Darrell is developing a plan to share an extended European and Israel vacation with his family. His five-year horizon comprehends expansion of estate planning aspects of his life and expanded participation in missions related projects in Latin America.

Darrell’s biggest heroes are his parents for their sacrifices and investment in development of my life and the powerful spiritual legacy they conveyed.

Julie Jenkins

Julie Jenkins has a gift for connecting with people, and it’s certainly one that sets her apart in the financial world. She delights in serving, educating and empowering her clients to retire without worrying about market changes or outliving their income. Her holistic approach to asking clients “What are your goals and how can we achieve them?” allows her and the team at Care Financial to find strategies to ensure her clients have a plan that covers all of their concerns.

Julie feels that creating a sound retirement plan includes focusing on all aspects of income, as well as emphasizing that Social Security plays a large part in the retirement plan. As a Registered Social Security Analyst through NARSSA, she can help you navigate the many complexities of the Social Security rules, the best time to claim your benefits and make sure you are not leaving money on the table.

Julie is also active in her community. She serves as a Board Director with Central Baldwin Chamber of Commerce and Member of Impact 100. She and her husband, Joel, are Mobile natives but have called Baldwin County home since 2002. When she and her husband are not traveling, camping, kayaking and exploring national parks, she is spending time with her family.
